restaurant “LUGOSH”
"In the heart of Transcarpathia is a place of strength, taste, and hospitality."
Mykhailo Madyarchyk
LUGOSH is more than just a restaurant. It is the embodiment of the Transcarpathian spirit, a deep respect for traditional hospitality and nature. The name comes from the place of power of the Transcarpathians - Lugosh - where the land is filled with energy, and the people
— sincerity. It is this authenticity and strength of the region that we transform into every dish, glass of wine, and interior detail.
Lugos
(Transcarpathian dialectism - vineyard in the yard in front of the dwelling).
A lugosh is not just a veranda or a canopy near a house. It is the soul of a Transcarpathian courtyard. It is usually arranged on the side where the shadow lasts the longest, so that in the summer heat you can hide from the sun. The design is simple: wooden poles, a roof on top, sometimes grapes intertwine the beams, giving even more shade. Under the lugosh there is a wooden table, benches or old chairs. Transcarpathians drink morning coffee here, a glass of wine or plum brandy in the evening, and the family gathers here for holidays.
kitchen of the restaurant “lUGOSH”
LUGOSH a la carte restaurant is a meat and wine restaurant with a signature menu from Oleksandr Yakutov, a famous Ukrainian chef and TV cooking show host who is known for his creative approach to Ukrainian cuisine. His dishes often combine local produce with modern cooking techniques.
The menu focuses on local meat dishes, prepared using traditional and modern techniques. We carefully select ingredients from local farmers, combining game, veal, lamb and pork with aromatic herbs,
vegetables and berry sauces. Each dish is complemented by a selection of wines from the best Transcarpathian wineries, as well as rare items from Europe that reveal the taste of meat in a new way.
Kitchen philosophy
“Respecting traditions — reinterpreting them in a modern way.” The cuisine of the Lugosh restaurant is a gastronomic journey through Transcarpathia, where dishes familiar from childhood are transformed into works of culinary art. Through local products, molecular techniques, seasonality, and original presentation, we discover the taste of the region from a new perspective.
Modernized Transcarpathian cuisine in a modern presentation
This concept creates a unique image of Lugosh as a place where tradition meets innovation, and every dinner is a journey through the taste and spirit of Transcarpathia.

Restaurant interior
The design of the restaurant combines natural authenticity with the elegance of a modern space. The key decorative element is a grapevine from Lugosh, hand-woven into the interior elements. This vine is a symbol of fertility, the continuous cycle of life and the Transcarpathian winemaking culture. The vine in the restaurant resonates with the wine theme, with tradition. And at the same time, it is a very modern, non-standard solution. LUGOSH is not just a restaurant. It is a place of strength that breathes locality, history, wine and land. The vine is a continuation of this thought. It is not artificial, not glossy. It is real, and this gives it strength. The vine becomes a living part of the interior.
